Perhaps while riding a wave, Stacy, an avid surfer, is thinking up more beautiful combinations for her jewelry line. Allowing herself to "go with the flow", she has collaborated with other designers in Thailand, India and Afghanistan to complement her vision. Upon meeting Stacy, I was instantly struck by her enthusiasm and delight in the work she does. Her necklaces are beautiful, feminine and timeless. Her attention to detail is evident is these pieces, which can be worn alone or layered.
"The inspiration for Lulu Designs jewelry comes from my diverse life experiences. From studying art history and ceramics, I learned about color, symmetry, balance and the responsiveness of natural materials. After working with ceramics for eight years, I progressed naturally into jewelry. Bead and wirework proved irresistible as expressions of wearable art that all enjoy. Nature shows me the beauty of peacefulness and order. I often gain insight from architectural and textile design. Further inspiration comes from family and friends whose names are assigned to many special pieces in this collection.
My business name is derived from my childhood nickname, "Lulu", short for Louise. Collaborations with my partner and other skilled artisans have resulted in jewelry infused with the energy of gemstones, metals and skilled craftspeople. Lulu Designs jewelry is made to transmit the beauty if natural and human elements in wearable art that will last for generations."
