African Goldweight Bracelets

Home ]

The African Goldweights, bezel set in these bracelets, were used to weigh out gold dust. They come from the Baule People of  the Ivory Coast, Africa. Each one is different and unique. There is a comfortable weight on ones wrist. The bracelets have either a T-bar kind of clasp (such as is shown here below), or a large spring ring clasp. These bracelets are made by Amy Kahn Russell.
